~There For You~
You cowered in a darkly lit room, barely breathing. The sound of footsteps and frightening honks made you whimper, though you tried to stay silent.
“Hey motherfucker, it’s time to come out! Hiding ain’t gonna do you any fucking good when I find you! Better give yourself up now, little mama.” Gamzee crowed.
Sober Gamzee was on the prowl, and it was your fault.
Well, at least you think it’s your fault. After all, you had been with him. You had been hanging out and laughing about stupid stuff. But then your morail had decided to pester you about her redrom troubles. Of course, being a good morail you had decided to give her more attention than Gamzee.
You had told him you’d only take a minute. How long had you comforted your crying morail? Long enough for Gam to drink a case of Faygo and sober up. So here you were, hiding from your best friend and fearing for your life.
Gog, you were pathetic.
Another honk made you wince. Normal Gamzee was just as scared of horns as you were. But sober Gamzee wasn’t like your Gam…
A surge of anger brought you to your feet. What were you doing cowering away? You had to bring back normal Gamzee, you needed to be there for him. He always had your back; it was time to return the favor.
You stumbled into the hall, your legs stiff from the awkward position they had been in. Gamzee grinned at you from the other end of the hall and slowly advanced, the sick smile never leaving his face. You took a steadying breath to prepare yourself for what was to come.
“Hey there motherfucker, about time you up and came out. I was getting real motherfucking bored looking for ya.” He purred.
You reached out a quivering hand to him. “G-Gam? Remember how we met?” you whispered.
His red-tinged eyes narrowed thoughtfully, though he didn’t stop advancing or smiling. You gulped and tried to remember yourself.
~Flashback~
You stared into the ocean, trying to repress the sobs that were threatening to break through your calm exterior. You had just had a mother of a fight with your morail and had run away to try to clear your head. Unfortunately, that meant you were now lost and still upset about the fight.
You were so lost in your thoughts you didn’t even notice another troll approaching until he flopped onto the sand next to you.
“Hey sis, you motherfucking okay?” he asked.
You glanced at him and bit your lip. The first thing you noticed was the clownish face paint and polka dotted pants. Then you noticed the stoned expression. Lastly you noticed that he was pretty cute… You shook your head and turned back to the ocean.
“I-I’m f-fine…” you protested. Unfortunately, your momentary distraction had weakened your defense against the sobs. Large {Blood Color} tears streamed down your face and you began to hiccup.
The strange troll’s eyes widened and he put his arm around you uncertainly. “Ah, fuck sis, I didn’t mean to make you all up and motherfucking cry!” he said.
You took a few calming breaths, though they barely helped hold the tears in check. “N-no, you didn’t do a-anything… I-it’s all s-stupid Mayann’s fault wi-with her stupid bluntness and her stupid seadweller superiority complex. Sh-she doesn’t e-even care how other people feel!” You choked out between sobs.
You explained your fight to the stranger, keeping it somewhat vague to avoid more heartbreak at remembering the details. Throughout the whole thing he patted your back and offered occasional hugs.
You had never met a troll so nice before. It was kind of refreshing to be shooshpapped instead of being the shooshpapper, even if you didn’t know his name. When you finally managed to stop crying, you offered him a watery smile.
“S-sorry about that… but thanks for being there.” You said.
The troll grinned at you. “Hey, no prob sis. Name’s Gamzee by the way.” He said.
“{Name}.” You smiled and stood up, glancing to the sky with a sigh. “The sun’ll be up soon, I should really get going.” You muttered.
Gamzee frowned. “Where you heading to, sis?” he asked.
You froze when you realized you were still actually lost. You chuckled nervously and turned back to Gamzee. “Eh, if I just hug the shore I’ll find my morail’s hive and I can find my way home from there!” you exclaimed.
A loud splash broke the awkward silence that had formed. You were quickly tackled to the ground by a blur of black and violet.
“{Name}! I finally found you! Oh thank cod! I was so glubbin’ worried!” Mayann shrieked.
You propped yourself up and stared at the distressed seadweller in amazement. Violet tears were streaming down her face and she was actually smiling, which was a rare event in itself.
“You were worried about me?” you asked slowly. You shared a glance with Gamzee, who merely shrugged.
Mayann snorted. “No, I just decided to search around the beach for the halibut, of course I was worried! What kind of a morail would I be if I let anyfin happen to you?” she demanded angrily.
You smiled a little and shrugged. “Not a very good one. So, are you going to apologize for insulting landdwellers again?” you asked.
Mayann rolled her eyes. “Cod, I wasn’t insulting them. I was just sayin’ what most of them act like. At least, most of the highbloods.” She nodded towards Gamzee. “So, who’s he?”
Gamzee smiled and waved lazily. “Hey sis, name’s Gamzee.” He said.
Mayann smiled at him politely, but tugged you to your feet. “We really need to go home now, terribly sorry. It’s been one shell of a day and we’re probably all tired; anywave we don’t want to be burnt to a crisp, so we must be off.” She said.
Gamzee’s face fell slightly and he sprang to his feet. “Hey, {Name}, you have a trollian account?” he asked.
You nodded and happily exchanged information while Mayann waited impatiently. You were still a bit angry with her, so you didn’t bother to rush. You said good bye to Gamzee and followed Mayann back to her hive.
~End Flashback~
If Gamzee remembered how you met, it didn’t seem to affect him. However, it gave you the courage to continue on with your crazy plan. You slowly walked towards Gamzee, meeting him halfway down the hall. His smile faltered slightly as you laid you hand on his shoulder.
You moved to shooshpapp him, but he slapped your hand away. A searing pain accompanied a rather ominous crack and you had to bite your lip from screaming. One of your fingers was definitely broken. Gamzee growled at you and raised his club threatening. In an instant you had wrapped your arms around him. Despite your instincts all screaming at you to run, you just held him closer.
“G-Gam… please s-stop… you’re scaring me…” you muttered into his chest.
Gamzee slowly lowered his club. The red faded from his eyes and he dropped his clubs. He shakily returned your embrace, his breathing turning ragged.
“{N-Name}… I’m so motherfucking sorry. I-I… did I hurt you?” he whimpered.
You sighed in relief and shook your head. “No… I’m fine. I’m just glad you’re back to normal.” You assured him.
He sniffled and buried his face into your hair, carefully avoiding your horns. Tears began to soak through your silky black hair as Gamzee cried. He knew he hit you, knew that your hand was actually throbbing painfully and swelling, and it hurt. It hurt him that he had lost control like that. That he had hurt you.
You patted his back with your good hand and sighed. “Gamzee, it’s ok. Don’t cry.” You soothed.
“No it’s not motherfucking ok! Your hand ain’t fine and you’re probably scared of me…” his voice wavered and he held you tighter, as if you were his only link to sanity. “I don’t want you to be fucking scared of me.” He whispered.
Seeing Gamzee like this broke your bloodpumper. You had never seen him cry before. Then again, you had never seen him sober before either… You sighed and lifted Gamzee’s head with your good hand.
Despite the fact that you were standing face to face, he refused to meet your eyes. He tried to turn away, but you didn’t let him. Instead, you stood on your toes and gently brushed your lips against his.
A bright {Blood Color} blush dusted your cheeks and you hid your face in Gamzee’s chest. “Gam, I’m flushed for you. I’ll be flushed for you no matter what, whether you’re my sweet Gamzee, or you’re the scary sober Gamzee. So don’t cry.” You whispered.
Gamzee gulped and hesitantly cupped your cheek with his hand. He stared into your eyes, trying to read the truth in their {Blood Color} depths. After a moment of silence he pressed his lips to yours. The kiss was inexperienced and uncertain, but sweet. You melted into it and hugged Gamzee tighter.
You broke apart with a sigh. You rested your head on Gamzee’s chest and he began stroking your hair. “{Name}, I’ve been so motherfucking flushed for you since I saw you. You were just… some sort of miracle. S-so, will you be my matesprit?” he asked.
You smiled and nodded into his chest. “Of course.”
You cowered in a darkly lit room, barely breathing. The sound of footsteps and frightening honks made you whimper, though you tried to stay silent.

Anyway, I'm not sure about this one. I'm not very good at writing Gamzeeobviously but I tried. Hopefully y'all like it.
I have a habit of somehow explaining how they met in my stories. I like knowing the origins of the relationships more than the already bf/gf stories. Meh.
